Can I just say I LOVE this company?
My first experience with Shelf Reliance was a couple of years ago, when one of my sweet sisters generously sent several hundred dollars worth of various THRIVE foods, (thanks again, D!) to my family - simply because she loved us and was worried about us not having “enough”. She knew my interest in having a sufficient food storage supply for my family, so that we could be prepared for “whatever”. Because she was a Thrive customer herself and very happy with the quality and taste, AND the fantastic shelf life of these foods, she knew I would love having Thrive as the basis of our home storage. (Yes, it’s true… sometimes sisters do know best!)
I received a dented can in that shipment, told her about it, and she simply said: “Susie, all you have to do is call customer service, and they’ll take care of it for you.” Well, that’s what I did, and without a moment’s hesitation, the voice on the other end said something to the effect “I’m sorry about that… we’ll have another can shipped right out to you, with a shipping label so you can return the dented can.” Needless to say, I was VERY impressed! (As a consultant, I’ve since learned that Shelf Reliance will NEVER send out a dented can and that it IS possible for a can to be dented in shipping without the box being damaged at all!)
So just a year later, (April 2010, to be exact), when I learned that Shelf Reliance was turning to direct sales (so that people could taste, see, and smell the food they would be storing), I signed up as a consultant right then and there! Not that I needed another “job”, mind you. I just knew this was an opportunity I simply could not let pass me by. And now, one year later, I am happier than ever with this new “biz” of mine. I LOVE helping others become better prepared - for “whatever”. I doubly love letting others try our premium foods! I triply love the look on someone’s face when they taste our scrumdillyishshous freeze-dried sweet corn for the first time. OH. SO. GOOD.
The satisfaction I receive while helping others just keeps me smiling. I love everything about this company, and I feel honored and blessed beyond words to be a part of a business that has such integrity. I mean, what other company is built on a set of Core Values like the ones listed below???
